Chardham Yatra 8 night 9 days

 

Day 1: Haridwar to Barkot

Begin your Chardham Yatra by leaving from Haridwar to Barkot, a scenic town nestled on the banks of the Yamuna River. Enroute, visit the enigmatic Kempty Falls, a captivating waterfall amidst lush greenery. Arrive in Barkot, situated at the confluence of the Yamuna and Tons rivers. Check into your accommodation and rest for the night.

Day 2: Barkot to Yamunotri and back to Barkot

Embark on a spiritual sojourn to Yamunotri, the source of the Yamuna River. Reach Hanuman Chatti and commence a trek or hire a pony to reach Yamunotri Temple. Take a holy dip in the Yamuna and pay homage to the deity. Return to Barkot for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Barkot to Uttarkashi

Head towards Uttarkashi, a town on the banks of the Bhagirathi River. Visit the renowned Vishwanath Temple and explore the quaint surroundings. Uttarkashi is known for its spiritual aura and offers a serene environment for reflection and prayer.

Day 4: Uttarkashi to Gangotri and back to Uttarkashi

Proceed to Gangotri, the birthplace of the Ganges River. Visit the Gangotri Temple, dedicated to Goddess Ganga. Take in the breathtaking views of the Himalayas and the Bhagirathi River. Return to Uttarkashi for an overnight stay.

Day 5: Uttarkashi to Guptkashi

Drive to Guptkashi, a significant stop on the Chardham Yatra, located on the way to Kedarnath. Guptkashi is known for the ancient Vishwanath Temple and Ardhnareshwar Temple. Immerse yourself in the spiritual ambiance of this sacred town.

Day 6: Guptkashi to Kedarnath

Embark on a journey to Kedarnath, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas and a revered site dedicated to Lord Shiva. Reach Gaurikund and trek or hire a pony to reach Kedarnath. Visit the Kedarnath Temple and participate in the evening aarti. Overnight stay in Kedarnath.

Day 7: Kedarnath to Guptkashi

Descend from Kedarnath and return to Guptkashi. Reflect on the divine experience at Kedarnath and relax in the tranquil surroundings of Guptkashi.

Day 8: Guptkashi to Badrinath

Proceed to Badrinath, the final destination of your Chardham Yatra. Visit the Badrinath Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Take a dip in the Tapt Kund and visit the Mana village, the last village before the Indo-Tibetan border. Experience the spiritual energy of Badrinath.

Day 9: Badrinath to Haridwar

On the last day, drive back to Haridwar, concluding your Chardham Yatra. Witness the confluence of spiritual fervor and natural beauty during this transformative journey. Drop-off at Haridwar marks the end of your 8-night, 9-day pilgrimage.
